In October 2022, Hoori Bigdeli took to the runway at Fashion Week Alicante, unveiling one of her most personal and powerful collections to date: Opening Knots. Although the event itself did not follow a specific theme, Hoori’s presentation stood out with a clear and resonant message—Freedom for women.

Opening Knots was more than a collection; it was a visual and emotional statement dedicated to the courageous women of Iran who were, and still are, rising in the fight for their basic freedoms. Every garment in the collection was designed with symbolic elegance: knots, meticulously crafted into the pieces, represented the constraints placed on women—but they were all designed to be easily released, a poetic gesture toward liberation, choice, and agency.

“This collection was born from a deep place in my heart,” said Hoori. “It is dedicated to every woman in Iran who has raised her voice. The knots are a symbol—they are beautiful, they are present, but they are not permanent. They can be untied.”

The collection blended structure with softness, featuring sophisticated forms with subtle yet striking details. Silhouettes were fluid and feminine, yet strong—allowing movement, reflecting resilience. From flowing fabrics to restrained color palettes punctuated by bold accents, the collection was a refined balance of emotion and artistry.

Hoori’s presence at Fashion Week Alicante marked not just another step forward in her international career, but also her commitment to using fashion as a platform for storytelling and advocacy.
